About Jennifer
Hi, I’m Jennifer – cookbook devourer, food magazine addict, and brazen lover of all things edible. I’m the cook, blogger and photographer at foodess.com.
I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, with my hungry and adoring boyfriend Adarsh, and our equally hungry Irish Setter (who more than makes up in cuteness what he lacks in brains).
I like food. Like, really like it. Both the cooking part and eating part. And actually, I really quite like the thinking about, reading about, talking about and writing about parts too. In fact, food brings me so much joy that both my working life and my personal life revolve around it. A very happy, well-fed life it is.
I am currently obsessed with caramel, brown butter, exotic curries, fruit in season, and slow braised meats that fall apart with the gentlest encouragement from your fork.

Oh Jenn…I can’t stop reading your blog. I am so proud of you for doing this. I LOVE IT! I wonder if I will actually…try to recreate what you have done. Possible. who knows. I am just going to keep checking it daily, and spend more time reading stuff about you and less time on nutrition textbooks. lol love you
Beautiful photography. I enjoyed what you’ve done so far and looking forward to seeing more.
