Foodess Headshots 21 200x300 About Jennifer

Hi, I’m Jenn! I’m in the foodess kitchen – making a mess and making something delicious, in equal parts.

I live in Vancouver with my hungry and charming fiance Adarsh, and our floppy-eared Irish Setter (who more than makes up in cuteness what he lacks in brains). Both are champion spoon-lickers.

By day I am a freelance recipe developer, food photographer and writer (for food companies/manufacturers, growers, marketing boards, etc.) and food specialist for a flour & cereal company. I also do private food/nutrition consulting.

I’m part of the International Association of Culinary Professionals, with special membership in the Food Photographers & Stylists, Nutrition & Food Science, and Test Kitchen Professionals groups. I’m a registrant with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia, and a member of Dietitians of Canada.

I come from New Brunswick, on the exact opposite side of Canada. The storms there are fierce, the winters long, and the ocean icy, but the neighbours are friendly, the doors are unlocked, and the kitchen is the heart of every home.

Things I am obsessed with right now include: my coveted bags of frozen sour cherries, bright vegetable soups, crusty artisan bread, and homemade ice cream.

My kitchen is the heart of my world. Food brings me so much joy that both my working life and my personal life revolve around it.

A very happy, well-fed life it is.
